Message from the Director

Our new logo

Dear Friends,

I am delighted to share some exciting news with all of you—our choir has officially rebranded with a fresh name and logo! We are proud to announce that our Japanese Messiah choir will now be known as the Japanese Messiah Project (JMP). This new identity reflects our commitment to musical excellence and our dedication to performing Handel’s Messiah in Japanese.

In addition, we are thrilled to announce that JMP has officially achieved 501(c)(3) non-profit status! This significant milestone opens doors for us to expand our mission of bringing music, culture, and community together. With this non-profit status, we can explore new opportunities for growth, including enhanced fundraising initiatives, grants for community outreach programs, and partnerships with local businesses and organizations. These resources will empower us to offer more robust musical education and outreach initiatives, allowing us to reach an even broader audience within our community.

Our mission remains steadfast:from August to December, we warmly welcome singers of all ages and musical backgrounds to join us as we prepare for our free Christmas concert featuring Handel’s Messiah in Japanese. This concert is more than just a performance—it’s a wonderful opportunity to connect, uplift, and share a message of hope and love with our community.

We have some exciting plans in the works that we can't wait to share with you! As we move forward, your support will be crucial in helping us realize these initiatives and continue our commitment to musical excellence.

We couldn’t have reached this moment without the incredible dedication of our participants and supporters. We are filled with excitement for the future of our choir and its growing outreach.

Here’s to embarking on this next chapter of our journey together! Onwards and Upwards!
